VOLUNTEERING IN BELGIUM
A few places still available for the “Festival Théâtres Nomades” camp (August 10 to 22 at Bois de la Cambre)!
Following problems beyond their control (VISA refused), several registrants unfortunately had to withdraw from our next workcamp.
We therefore have places left for volunteers and teamleaders on the participatory camp of the “Festival Théâtres Nomades”, which will take place from August 10 to 22 at Bois de la Cambre. This is an opportunity to join a group already made up of volunteers from Spain, Mexico and South Korea 😊
Tasks:
- Before and after the festival, volunteers will be integrated into the different teams: technical, management, animation, decoration, cooking, etc.
- During the festival (August 15 to 18), volunteers will have positions at the ticket office, at the bar or in the restaurant.
Accommodation: The JAVVA team will be housed on site in caravans alongside the « Newly Disappeared » troop.
Price: The price is €85 for volunteers, and free for teamleaders (+ expenses). Accommodation and food are covered for everyone!

The day to move our offices has arrived!

In the program :
- Transport of bags and boxes of documentation and equipment and probably some dismantled furniture (shelves and desks to be confirmed), via cargo bike or van that we are planning.
- Lunch and drinks planned!
To take: suitable clothing for the move and depending on the weather (including gloves if necessary).

« CHILDREN’S ART » CAMP PROJECT from July 13 
Following cancellations, we still have places left for a teamleader and two volunteers!
This concerns the renovation of a school located in Templeuve (very close to Tournai). Several parents of students and their children are participating in the project. The volunteers are accommodated inside (nicely warm) in dormitories, and the atmosphere is friendly and family-friendly 😊
And it is possible to join the team on Monday July 15 if you are not available before!
As a reminder, teamleaders receive compensation🌻

Are you an experienced person and would like to put your skills at the service of our bodies, or on the contrary rather a young novice interested in learning and getting more involved within our association? JAVVA is recruiting new members for its General Assembly and Board of Directors. A great volunteer opportunity not to be missed!
Volunteering for a few hours, days, months, in Belgium or abroad, alone or in a group, in various fields? JAVVA is a Belgian non-profit organization which offers various international volunteering projects as an opportunity for discovery and learning, and as a tool for building peace through intercultural encounter.
JAVVA is based in Anderlecht and recognized as a Youth Organization by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. We welcome young people from all over the world on local development projects and allow many Belgian residents to participate in volunteering projects abroad, according to each situation and desire.
Our association is part of an approach by and for volunteers, with a priority for those under 35, and an inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities or in need of international protection. Do not hesitate to forward it to your possibly interested contacts and redirect them to us to discuss it. We promise lots of meetings, experiences and enrichments!
