What is ESC ?

The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) enables youth from 18 to 30 yo to volunteer in an organization and to carry out local solidarity projects for a period of two to twelve months.

Accommodation, transport, pocket money, food, language courses and VISA costs are all covered by the ESC programme.

A great opportunity to meet new people, discover another culture and develop personal and professional skills.

Enfance de l’art

From 24th of August 2026 til 6th of July 2027 in Tournai

« L’Enfance de l’Art » is a non-profit organization whose aim is to help parents to become more involved in their children’s education. To that purpose, the organization set up hosting facilities for children or people with reduced autonomy, leisure workshops, nurseries, schools. The organization uses alternative pedagogies (Steiner & Loczy).

MISSION OF THE VOLUNTEER

  • To carry out different kind of activities such as painting, drawing, fairy tales and nursery rhymes, making cakes and breads, outdoor games, crafts, walks in woods, etc.

Fedasil

From 1rst of September 2026 til 31 of August 2027 in Rixensart

Fédasil is a center for asylum seekers and can host up to 220 residents including 40 unaccompanied minors. Different kinds of services are offered to the residents, such as social support, medical service, reception, school support and leisure time activities.

MISSION OF THE VOLUNTEER

  • Work with children and adults
  • Integrate the service of leisure activities and support children and teenagers in their schooling + organize leisure time activities, mainly in the social and cultural field, for the residents
  • Participate in activities in the neighborhood to raise awareness about asylum seekers

Alterez-vous

From 1st of September 2026 til 31 of August 2027 in Louvain-la-Neuve

Altérez-Vous is a place to meet, share and interact. This alternative café is a non-profit cooperative with social purpose turning around 3 dimensions: friendly atmosphere, responsible consumption and awareness to societal issues. 

MISSION OF THE VOLUNTEER 

  • Help with the organization & the promotion of cultural activities & the café (thematic nights, concerts, exhibitions, intercultural activities, promo on Fb, taking pictures, etc) 
  • Create new kind of events 
  • Awareness to societal issues with customers & through the organization of events/workshops  
  • Development of local, organic & fair trade by helping the staff to find new products 
  • Good knowlmedge of french is an asset

ATD Quart Monde Belgique

From 1st of September 2026 til 31 of August 2027 in Brussels

ATD Quart Monde Belgique is part of a global human rights based movement committed to eradicating poverty by empowering those most affected. 

MISSION OF THE VOLUNTEER 

Two areas of activity, depending on the volunteer’s interests and skills :    

  • with adults: Empowerment and community activities (outreach, creative workshops), active citizenship and knowledge-building on poverty (People’s University, Knowledge Exchange Projects), awareness-raising and advocacy (training and political action, thematic consultations, events)  
  • with children and young people: street libraries and workshops for children (0–12), a meeting and activity space for young people aged 16–30, awareness-raising in schools and training young people to understand the realities of poverty and exclusion 
  • Good knowledge of french is an asset 

JAVVA

From 1st of September 2026 til 31 of August 2027 in Brussels

JAVVA is a Belgian association that promotes volunteering in Belgium and abroad. 

MISSION OF THE VOLUNTEER 

  • Help organise and seek out new partners, and maintain partnerships with Red Cross Centres for local projects (known as ‘W.I.TH: We instead Of them’)  
  • Run the film discussion and philosophy café OR create new workshops based on your interests 🙂  
  •  Suggest activities and lead the buddy group  
  •  Prepare and lead non-formal education workshops in schools as part of the JAVVA@School project  
  • Lead information sessions for volunteers 
  • Take part in your first project as a volunteer in September: the Marsinne Folk Festival 
  • Be a team leader on several JAVVA workcamps 
  • Take part in awareness-raising activities and international volunteering fairs 
  • Good knowledge of french is an asset
